From my base in Barcelona, I sell books internationally for Australian and American publishers, attending book fairs in ancient publishing centres such as Bologna and Moscow. I also write and publish my own books. I am currently working on a novel and a children’s series to be released in 2011.

I grew up in Mosman, Sydney, and as a girl was often seen dancing around the house in a pink tutu. I am Australian with a Polish mother, and to mix the gene pool further, on my Australian father’s side I have Chinese heritage.

As a teenager I had two dreams: to become a choreographer and publish my diaries. But after finishing high school I thought studying business was the sensible thing to do. I did a Commerce degree at the Australian National University, and moved to Warsaw, Poland to learn Polish and work in a law firm. I went on to study law in England, and graduated from the University of London with upper second-class honours.

Across the Atlantic, New York beckoned. I moved to Manhattan and started working with one of the largest American real estate finance companies. In between board meetings and bar openings, I finished my masters of corporate law at New York University.

After four years in America, turning 30 motivated me to take time out and search for a creative career back in Europe. I head to Paris where I advanced my French and took dance classes at Le Marais. My next adventure found me in the fashion capital of Milan. It was there that I formed a multicultural girl band called “BBB”: blonde, black and brown. I added the Italian language to my repertoire while I managed the band, and we sang and danced throughout Italy and abroad. The Italian media labelled us the “Milanese Spice Girls” and we performed on national TV.

Keen for a taste of the Spanish lifestyle and to satisfy my Sydney-girl desire for the beach, I moved to Barcelona in 2005. It is here that I fulfilled my longstanding ambition to become a published author.
